Update default branch to "main" #180

Recent events have taught me and many other software developers that some of the tech jargon we take for granted can cause harm and have the unintended side effect of making some people feel excluded.

To close this issue:

  1. Switch the primary branch to main
  2. Remove the master branch
  3. Update any docs and code that rely on master
