6.20PRO-b10.fix1 PermaPatch Crashing/Freezes during ISO game #369

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start the game
2. Play the game
3. Game freezes and psp restarts

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
-Play the game flawlessly. Finish the game.

-Game freezes while playing the game. Game is teasing me rather than playing
the entire game until end.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
6.20PRO-B10.fix1 Permanent Patch psp3006 03g

Please provide any additional information below.
- I have just install it 2days prior this report. I have tried 3 games. There
are the following games and their result.(Same sequence when I tested it)

Legend of Legaia (Own made Eboot working on the other psp)
- Screen blacks out during the boot. Psp freezes and restarts. Memory Stick 8gb
became corrupted.

God of War: Ghost of Sparta
- Reformat Memory Stick using psp. Save God of war ISO.
- The game boots I entered menu, choose the difficulty. During the intro video
the game freezes. It freezes in this part every time i played the game.
(Finished the game same ISO on psp2001 5.00M33 Prometheus Patch)

Prinny
- The game boots every thing seems ok. Played it on the first stage. Game
crashes during the loading screen of the next stage. I tried 3 times always
freezes on the part.

Other ISO games boots ok until menu. Haven't tested if it crashes during/in the
middle of the game. (Patapon 3, Phantasy Star Portable 2 Eng, Ace Combat X)

I think I do not have any plugins... I installed the firmware with clean MS.
Formatted thru psp. I have tried Inferno, M33 and NP9660 on prinny but still
with no success. I'm trying the Phantasy Star Portable 2 right now how there
won't be any problem.

Maybe try disabling isocache could fix your problem or try MS speed up on and
off too

Thanks for your help. I think I have found the culprit. I seems the the 8gb MS
was the problem. I tried switching the MS and the game still froze on my
5.00m33 prome patch. While same game on the other MS was played on the
6.20PRO-b10.fix1 and it worked no freezing!

Selet the MS in the XMB and press TRIANGLE to view information about your MS.
Chack if it supports Magic Gate. If it doesent support magic gate - it's not
original and that is the culprit. You can try to enable MS speedup for GAME in
the recovery menu, but that might not help.

I think your right pio this MS is not original. I seems that I have fixed it
but I'm really not sure. As of now everything is running the way it should be.
I tried to format it using PC and then format it again using the PSP. I don't
know really why that process fixed it, it might be just luck.

Thanks to you everyone who helped!!! =)
