Android: It saves the images twice in some devices #89

Bug

In some devices, they insist on saving the image to the default gallery no matter what. Maybe this is more like a feature request.

Version Number of Plugin: 2.3.0 Device Tested On: LG G4 (Marshmallow)

Expected Behavior

Just save the image once if SaveToAlbum is set to true.

Actual Behavior

No matter if SaveToAlbum is set to true or false, it always creates a copy of the picture to the camera roll / gallery in some devices. Similar to https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/3453/problems-with-camera-activity-saving-photos-to-the-gallery

Steps to reproduce the Behavior

  1. Take picture
  2. OK
  3. Look at the Gallery app

@jamesmontemagno When will that be fixed? Is there a possible workaround. Dispite the fact that I set SaveToAlbum = false the taken image is in the public gallery.

I don't put ETAs on bugs at all. If there is a "help-wanted" that means I am not working on it at all.

@jamesmontemagno I understand but you labeled it as bugon 4. Jan 2017. As far as I understand is that status that you need help either to solve that issue !?

I use the tags to organize the issues and set priorities. It is a low priority with low impact currently and I have no devices to repo, hence the "help-wanted" and PRs are welcome on the project. Issues like any other project may live around for a while.

This issue is much the same - but uses the old Mobile API. Just wanted to add it here for reference in case of something: https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=24594

:) yeah also have no real plans on fixing any time soon as i can't repro on any of my devices at all.

Hi. Do you know if the bug has been solving? I happens to me with Alcatel Pixi 4 android 6.0.
