I've done some minor research and found some additional resources that may assist in fleshing out the over-arching structure of the application:

Serve dynamic content and host microservices with Cloud Run
- This can be used, following the initial idea of creating Docker containers to run and serve content for the website and application. For instance, this example covers the creation of a Golang application served via a Docker container through GCloud with Firebase hosting.
