Thank you for the feedback. However we believe that this does not warrant a Medium severity, since this is a cosmetic issue and does not impede the app's functionality. Hence we propose a change to VeryLow instead.
Additionally, EduMate window should not have a maximise button when properly rendered.
This bug is due to certain OS configurations that force window resizing and cannot be fixed on our side. We have already fixed the window sizing and there should not be an option to go full screen. Even if the option exists, the button should not work. Feel free to check out our Developer Guide, under planned enhancements (point 5):

The window of the application cannot be adjusted and is fixed at the default dimensions. Even upon maximising, the screen will be filled up by a black background while the application still remains of the same dimensions. The image shown below is what the application will look like upon maximising the screen.
Perhaps a suggestion would be to allow users to maximise, minimise and modify the size of the application to suit their personal preference and make it easier for them to use as well as more pleasing to the eyes. The UI of the application is very pretty but having the black space when maximising it makes it look a little funny.
