Configuration directory is in $HOME rather than in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME #396

I'd prefer the configuration to be in $XDG_CONFIG_HOME and can't find anything in the documentation about making that happen.

I'm currently running the version from git and would be fine with modifying the source if I knew where to look.
