2 got merged, its a very needed change and it would be greatly appreciated if it was published to pub.dev @jamiewest

@jamiewest If you don't have time to maintain this package (+signalr_core) please consider giving maintainership to other people. This is a hard blocker for us, and we would hate to be forced to fork it to split the ecosystem even more. I am willing to maintain this package.
