i think following the verification link on a second device, leaves the first device unaware that the verification has been completed. then following a verification link on the first device subsequently fails, because the email is already verified.
i think in all these cases, the user simply needs to refresh the cloud.jamovi.org page, and it will figure out that the user is verified.
we should look into ways we can improve this though.

Hello, we encountered an issue when trying to use the cloud during class. Some students were unable to use cloud. When students used their tablets and received the verification link in their phone’s email app, they clicked the link but the link opened the cloud sign in page again on their phones instead of opening the jamovi on the tablets. When they used their tablet's email app to verify, the same thing happened and the sign in page opened again on the tablet. Making the process start over again.
