3 years ago This first approach is not going to be fully automatic. It's good enough and I can trigger it with a single command locally.
Main concerns to not do it properly:
- I don't want to start creating Ansible Playbooks for installing ffmpeg, sqlite, systemd Units, etc...
- I don't want it to be running in Docker in production
- I don't want Circle CI to have SSH access with some kind of privileges (service restart) and don't want to adjust sudoers and alike
The whole process is about making my life easier. The cost of doing all of that does not pay off. A script for now is good enough.
I don't know how do I want it to work yet, but I know I don't want to do anything after pushing changes to master. Build, restarting services, etc should be done automatically.
Of course, a manual "rollback" version must be available.
