certificates not verified on cupcake browser #143

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  connect to the internet over GPRS
2.  open the browser to google.com
3.  try to log in

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to be taken directly to the login screen.  Instead, I get a
message saying that the certificate can not be verified.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
android-on-freerunner-cupcake-daily-20100522.tar.bz2

Please provide any additional information below.
This seems to happen on other sites as well, including meebo.com

So, I installed meebo, and it suggested to me that my certificates might not be 
valid
because my date is set wrong.  In fact, my date was set wrong, even though it 
was set
to automatically retrieve the time from the network.
