Slower after waking up from sleep #29

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Boot into android
2. test responsiveness and then put in sleep mode
3. wake up from sleep mode and check responsiveness

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected the phone to be as fast as it was before sleeping but it's much
slower.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Android 2009-10-01

Please provide any additional information below.
Also happened with previous versions.

The problem was in sensor. Must be check in the newest release

Very funny that after running TeaChimer
(http://andappstore.com/AndroidApplications/apps/TeaChimer) and then exit, the
phone
speed is back to normal, which means, quite fast. And yes, I think this
application
has something to do with the sensor. I hope it will be fixed in the next
release,
since panicking release of michael has solved the problem.

Michael,

Is this the patch: http://gitorious.org/android-on-
freerunner/freerunner_platform_hardware_hw/commit/a61368c1ed09981723138455b92221
407be
74037

If so, it should be in the weekly release at
http://code.google.com/p/android-on-
freerunner/downloads/list

also with the application TeaChimer
(http://andappstore.com/AndroidApplications/apps/TeaChimer) you just need to
run it
once and then when it suspend then you want to use the phone it will work well
without playing with TeaChimer

I add a new commit for the sensors, it was a bug related to the control channel
and the select loop

I'm still seeing this slowdown after suspend (and speedup after Teachimer) in
the
2009-10-12 weekly build.

Yeah that is because those commits just missed the weekly build. If you want to
test
it you need to test a daily build.
