Problems with wallpapers - low and medium priority #66

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago

Low priority:
1. Although the wall-papers were put into dimensions that should avoid the
black gaps, the default wall-papers still show those ugly gaps. Instead,
the wallpaper should fill the entire screen. Should there be any gaps, they
can be done/drawn on the wallpaper itself.

Medium priority:
2. This may be urgent... I have contacted the person in a photo (a
girl holding a violin) whether we can use that photo for the
wallpapers. She hasn't replied yet, so I would delete it just to be on
the safe side...

Thank you!

Damir

This wallpaper issue along with all the other GUI scaling issues have to do
with the
resolution.

Android 1.5 has hard coded for the lower resolutions so when it is displayed at
480x640 the background isn't scaled.

This issue along with all the others would be resolved if we lowered the
resolution
to one supported by Android 1.5 (Or update android to 1.6)

I see fixing these issues as redundant if we are going to change the resolution
anyways.

@olejar.damir: if you want a wallpaper without black margins on your
freerunner, you
can download any big picture from the web and select it as wallpaper, than you
will
get a screen to select the area which is used for your background and it will
fill
your whole screen.

Will the update to 1.6 also make all the controls of the interface biger? When
will
android-on-freerunner update to 1.6 and where can i follow the development of
1.6 for
freerunner?
