Background

Every {n} times I open Jan, I am notified about updates.

Feature request

There is an option to completely turn off app updates.

Needs some thought. i.e. we may want to handle nightly vs patches vs minors differently

@imtuyethan I think we could link this issue to the non-blocking UI - App updates. Which would not block users from using the app but would also allow them to update.

Context:

• For now, the app update dialog is blocking users from using the app. It is a full screen dialog that prevents interaction with the lower layer.
• There is an epic to make the update indicator/button smaller and place it somewhere, such as the bottom corner or footer, so users can update whenever they want.
• We might want to add more details on the app update (change log).
