What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. No version seems to work with new machine.
2. Runs like a top on old xp machine
3. Running the jar file on new machine just opens then closes a comm prompt 
window 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Can you try it from a command-line

java -jar jarFile.jar

and see if there are any additional error
