getNodeByKey and activateKey support for large node

For normal node, there is an API "getNodeByKey" used to identify a node by key. 
But for large node can we have a similar API? Or if there is already such an 
Api, please let me know.

"activateKey" is another API that I would like the large node to have as well. 

Basically the API support of large node is very limited compared to normal 
node, but I think large node is a very useful feature.

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
I can implement the "search" function in the tree with large nodes.

Large nodes are no special and provide the same API.
Only difference is that they have some HTML code as title.
