If you drag-and-drop from Zotero to Joplin, Zotero gives you, what your translator selected in (zotero settings > export > fast copying) gives you.
Desired state
It would be great, if there would be a proper translator specific to this use available, being selectable from the list in this zotero setting.
Possible path to get there
Adding a Drag-and-Drop translator into the local zotero installation (in folder translators, based on the definition used in Joplin.
Therefore the z@ functionality and drag-and-drop produce the same results.
If the feature request Configurable Markdown created from selected Zotero item #13 is implemented, you would even have an easy way to define this translator.
Steps needed (as I can see in the moment)
Using the plugin's specification (potentially configurable) to create a specific zotero translator:
create the respective joplin.js translator file
with proper translatorID (reserved for this Joplin translator)
maybe choosable label (Default: e.g. Joplin Zotero Plugin)
the code from the configuration (for a starter it could be an advanced feature where you have to copy the respective piece of javascript code into - with the risk of introduction of (maybe unintendedly) malicious code)
copy the generated 'joplin.js' file into zotero's local translator directory
explain, who to config it in zotero (if it isn't configurable via the API or otherwise)
Feature Request
Having defined a beautiful markdown linking to Zotero-Items (maybe even Configurable Markdown created from selected Zotero item #13 ) it would be great to have it also available for Drag-and-Drop, to Joplin and other Markdown tools.
