What's your estimate for the amount of work involved?
You also mention that we need to continue to support the old Scratch file format, so is there benefit to having multiple formats?
I'm guessing that the new commands you are adding will be easier to support with Fuel and we don't need to add them to the old format?

We use fuel now. The old process to save and read scratch/byob projects is in another not loaded package

The ObjStream is to static: when we add or remove a parameter in a class, it breaks. If we add new classes they are not saved. We need something more modular. I think to use Fuel for that. We should pay attention to keep:
