This project had no activity for a long time and there is a pending, yet unanswered issue- Thus I am wondering whether or not you are still planning to maintain this plug. If not, please state it as part of the README, like "This project is no longer maintained". Thanks

I am still actively using this plugin on my personal pimatic instance. It has been working mostly flawless for me, and there was no real need for any change so far. I haven't actually noticed the other issue from 2016, but will try to investigate.

Ok, thanks for the update. This seems to be niche-use case as the AnyMote device does not seem to be sold available.

Do you have experience with Anymotuino which is an Arduino clone of the AnyMote device? It basically uses the same BT protocol as AnyMote, however, discovery with the AnyMote app does not work due to limitation of the BT adapter. I am wondering whether or not Anymotuino is usable without using the AnyMote app. Is the AnyMote app required for basic setup?

It appears that the AnyMote device was discontinued unfortunately.

At the time of building this plugin, the protocols for Anymotuino and the AnyMote device were different. I had to contact the guys working on the AnyMote for their protocol documentation. For example, Anymotuino doesn't implement any kind of authentication (or the pairing button for that matter).

Furthermore, if I recall correctly, the AnyMote device was using the BLE characteristics feature for its protocol, while the Anymotuino solution used a single serial connection. But things might have changed in the meantime.
