Cannot install - sh: 1: node-gyp: Permission denied OR #47

Describe the bug "npm install -g lnd-admin" fails

Environment (please complete the following information):

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Run npm install -g lnd-admin
  2. See error "npm ERR! gyp ERR! not ok" - complete log attached

Screenshots or Log Output 2021-09-04T21_26_09_196Z-debug.log Log attached

Additional context As a root the installation command returns "npm ERR! sh: 1: node-gyp: Permission denied" as an ordinary user the situation is described above.

Same here, but trying with node v13.7.0
