Active tab is not an AWS console Error #315

Current Behavior: On any page in AWS except the main console screen, I open the role switch to switch to another role, and then I receive a toast notification saying, "Active tab is not an AWS console" and my role was not switched.

Expected Behavior: On any page in AWS, I open the role switch to switch to another role, and the page refreshes as the role I clicked on.

When I return to the main homepage of AWS I am able to switch accounts however that is not practical. I am currently using AWS Extend Roles Switch and this feature works as I expect it to: the current page refreshing with using my newly clicked role. However I really like the grouping aspect of this extension so I gave it a try and love the UI however without this feature I will be switching back to AWS Extend Roles Switch as it works a lot smoother.

Sorry for the delay.

I can't reproduce your issue. Switching on non-main console pages works fine for me. I tried it with two different aws orgs with different configurations. Works on both browsers as well...

Do you have a anonymised config for me?

Seems like it doesn't with the firefox containers extension, which is a shame. I ran into this same error when invoking the extension from a container tab with the aws console. Using it without a container tab (a normal tab) seems to work.
