When importing metadata that's somehow invalid, Janus only shows:
Error when parsing imported metadata. Not valid SAML 2.0 metadata
It would be a lot more informative if it would additionally also show the exception it got from SimpleSAMLphp's parser, which can be very concrete. For example:
