I can definitely see commonalities with some of the other Apple-platform terminals, such as missing italic and bright attributes, choice of replacement glyph, lack of text-form emoji outlines, and working support for skin tones.
In addition to the skin tone support, it also does relatively well with miscellaneous symbols, block and box drawing, and support for 24-bit color.
The weird thing here is some of the drifting alignment; the drawing characters row (just above the emoji) gets progressively more misaligned, and for no obvious reason the last two emoji wrap to the next line.
