As per title, I was thinking of a little Code-Size Info tool (Token and Characters in particular), maybe as in picture (ref. LaTeX Workshop).
It could be pretty useful, in particular because one of the great advantages of using this extension is how well it navigate between included files, so we can have an actual total count (missing in PICO-8).
