We use NCBITaxon:4897 in the GAF file and the GPI file for GO export:

OK @pgaudet can you give an example of where you see the strain ID for GO?

Most of the annotations in the GOA GAF file are to taxon:402676. Even the annotation assigned by JaponicusDB is 402676 so perhaps GOA is changing the annotation taxon?
