Closes #195.

Changes:

Replace dependency on Pydantic with Typeguard
Replace type validation decorators with typeguard.typecheck.
Remove compatibility layers for pydantic.
I replaced Word with an __instancecheck__-based implementation (for pragmatic reasons).
