why do I get this error when using Pidgin client for connecting to IRC? ERROR :Closing Link: c-66-31-107-137.hsd1.ma.comcast.net (*** Banned ) #180

any idea why I suddenly got this error? Is it related to Comcast Xfinity? Do you know how I can resolve it?

I am using pidgin client in Ubuntu 20.04

I figured it was to internet getting reconnected a lot due to instability. jess from IRC channel lifted my ban and explained the problem to me. I had to use a VPN to connect to IRC this time.
