Northeastern hemisphere blank (white out)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Always present, since 7AM 6/4/2014 CDT
2. Opening app to preview
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Real-time map of that section of the globe, bit I see white, no features at all
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?Android HTC 
ONE  droid spp, updated two weeks ago

Have same problem since yesterday:
real-time earth is only white like ice from Atlantic ocean over Europa to 
middle east
Xperia Go, much of RAM free
