What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect that sunset at my location will match the simulation - but for my 
pacific coast USA location, sunset is shown on the East coast. Perhaps we 
are using local time and assuming we are on the East coast?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Motorola Droid 2.1, earth-live-wallpaper

did you modified your refresh rate, realtime map is downloaded from the web 
every 3 
hours and stay fixed for this period if you let it to the deafult.
