Have you got the 4K laptop?

I had a similar issue but after disabling touch screen screen writhing works fine.

This seems to hae worked. What is up with that though?

Fyobl commented 4 years ago

Not sure. I think it’s something to do with the kexts or maybe power management. Haven’t quite figured it out myself yet.

Hi there,

I am reopening this issue because I am having the same issue despite using the non-touchscreen .aml - even though it has worked fine for ages now. I just can't figure it out. The trackpad won't work from a cold boot, I have to restart the laptop and then it'll work perfectly fine.

Cheers

What version OC you on?

What Version Kexts have you got for trackpad?

What’s not working? Does it move at all? Does it jump round the screen?

If it’s working after reboot then it sounds like the kext isn’t loading on first boot.

I am on 0.6.4 and whichever trackpad kexts are included in this EFI folder. It doesn't move at all, it just stays in the top-left corner under the apple logo.

I haven’t tested 0.6.4 with latest kexts.

I stayed on 0.6.1 as I was stable and working.

Try rolling back to 0.6.1 and use older kexts.
