What I recommend is that to avoid ambiguity, its better to either have a fix name for intern or internship, and state it in the UG to inform people, or have a multifind command where internship will be displayed if intern is the search word, as intern is a substring and have the same meaning.
Inconvienence I forsee is that if there are many people in the list, user might make an error to key in internship instead of intern, vice versa
