Debian wheezy contains packages for gflags and glog.

What versions of Debian/Ubuntu have these packages? Also if you do this, please modify the commit to also delete those two install scripts.

packages.{debian.org,ubuntu.com} are your friends. gflags is available in >= wheezy; glog appears to be in squeeze (oldstable), not in wheezy (stable) or jessie (testing), but in sid (unstable). In Ubuntu the situation appears simpler: glog and gflags are in >= quantal.
