Is this component being maintained anymore? #154

is it? doesn't look like it... apparently it's time to move elsewhere

I'm still around, but my time is very very limited. I'm still using HA 2021.2.0 and absolutely all my plugins work as expected with this version for now, updating would require me to dedicate some time to it. (heard there are issues with the latest version of HA and this plugin)

There are 2 other devs that have write access to this repo, but they seem inactive also these days. I'll gladly accept a PR if someone else found the issue with it in the latest version of HA.

I'm so glad you guys are around because I love the component and I'd hate to move elsewhere.

I'll stick to 2021.15 until the issues are resolved.

What are the issues on the 2021.6.x version? I'm using it and I have no problem with this integration... (well, sometimes TV will not respond to turn off command in a random fashion and I can not get rid of power change state bounce but those are there from ages)

I ended up creating my own “integration”, mixing webCoRE (webCore only works for TVs showing up in Smartthings) with http requests and node red (I assume it can be done in HA as well) and putting everythign together with the universal media player integration in HA. I’ts not really hard, I’m kind of a newbie and it works worlds better than any integration I tried.

The tv updates every 5 seconds in HA and always sets the correct picture and sound settings for every source/app/whatever, which were my two main aims. Beyond that,webcore does feature a bunch of available commands not present in any integration. It would be great if we could investigrate webCoRE together in this forum because the majority of commands are straightforward but some aren’t and there’s not documentation about them in the webCoRE forums. We are probably missing something really powerful whithin webcore and it can be really easily triggered from HA. Here are all the commands available for my TV.
