Actually, this code fragment comes from autoheader; it's autogenerated and not 
part of Snappy code per se. config.h.in is never used as-is; the #undef is just 
a placeholder that config.sub possibly replaces when it converts to config.h. 
Thus, as strange as it may sound, the code here is actually intentional, 
although you're right that it will never actually undefine WORDS_BIGENDIAN 
should it already be defined. Autoconf generally doesn't do that.
