Windows Phone 7 - DataSet #319

I'm looking for Windows Phone 7 to consume a 3rd party web service; the problem I'm having is that the service uses the ADO.NET DataSet classes as parameters and returns; can Windows Phone 7 serialize/deserialize the XML stream into a compatable object? and has this been done?
