Hey there, first, thanks for your work! Unfortunately i have an issue here...whether I set up a two way or one way (cloud>device) sync - it´s not downloading any files to my device. I have root access.

Android 5.0.2 Sony Xperia Z3 compact latest App Version 2.2.5

appreciate any help!

Thank you :)

Hey,

Are you using your SD card, can you please try using device storage and see if it works.

Another reason can be that you have a large file that is being synced first which could fail and cause behaviour you described (try setting up a sync using a remote directory that has small files in it).

Hey :)

Thanks for the quick reply.

It works with device storage.

Sadly, there is a known issue with SD card write access on Android.

There is a newer application version currently in Alpha which asks for explicit SD card access (but this works only on latest android).

Rusk85 commented 8 years ago

When you say there is a newer application in alpha are you talking about megastoragemanager ? While you might not be able to help heyme-itsyou there still is a considerably large user base that does use Android 6. I am part of that user base.

;)

Hey @Rusk85,

Version in alpha is not ready yet, I started working on sync event log that will show what was synced, when and why.

I will consider pushing out version without sync events features that brings SD card permissions.

Opt in for alpha: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/ba.makrosoft.mega

Hi, great app but i have same issue of "heyme-itsyou". Mega can't write data to external sd card.

ASUS Zenfone5 (A501CG) [no rooted device] Android 5.0 App ver. 2.2.6

I hope you can find a way to make it possile. Thanks in advance

Thanks, Jasmin, for this great app. Outstanding compared to the official MEGA app! Unfortunately also not working in regard to external SD card on:

Samsung Galaxy Tab S Android 6.0.1 App version 2.2.6

Am aware of your explanation that it's caused by differing implementations within the ROM. Still hope there is a way to circumvent this issue, maybe by cooperation with another app. FolderMount did not work on the mentioned system. If an external SD card is used in a phone it's vital to be able to utilize it with MEGA.

Thanks again for all your hard work! Highly appreciated!
