first stab at DGD description #19

forgot to add issue number. oops. but this should be like two commits. this one and then the text that we agree on so it should be alright :)

This is great for now--I'd like something better than "we hope you like it and get invovled" because it kinda sounds like we're begging when, in fact, it is they who should be begging for the right to use this service, but this is way better than nothing
