When enemy sees player, shoots a freeze ray that continually stops player from moving. To get past, must set up some sequence of events that will carry you to safety through the vision field of the enemy. (Or carry a square in front of you as a shield).
Ray also inverts the time-reversibility of any object that it hits - i.e. cubes. Could design levels where you need to invert objects, possibly several times.
