forked-daapd doesn't support update without revision #78

Update without revision number is part of the daap standard and in fact a lot of daap clients use that and the old mt-daapd also do

I really like to run forked-daapd ( already installed ) on my machine instead of mt-daapd but I am blocked by this missing feature and on my network a lot of people are using Amarok or Banshee and it is not a good idea to tell them to switch to other player that maybe support daap without update :|

I think that forked-daapd is the best but I cannot use it because of that bug, so sad :(

The following patch can fix the problem. https://github.com/CBGoodBuddy/forked-daapd/commit/c2e6eeda3273c4ddca146424b61023d18080705e It should apply against forked-daapd version 0.19. Also submitted upstream to the author.

With forked-daap 0.19gcd-2ubuntu1 on xubuntu 12.04 (32-bit), and Banshee 2.4.1 on ubuntu 12.04 (64-bit) connects to the DAAP share but Banshee does not play anything (mp3 or flac). It works with Rhythmbox.
