thanks for the fix! the artists are still not sorted in remote.app however unfortunately... any idea howto get around this problem?

Wow! How awesome is that! Now only bit missing is playlist support (for internet radio streaming). Thank you so much.

actually this already has been fixed in this fork: https://github.com/Impakt/forked-daapd

however impakt's version does not compile - lacking event.h
