Hi, I am having problem with my iphone. I am using 3g, 8gb, 3.0.1 Fw. I was
having
No Service problem so I had downloaded and installed ultrasn0w by Rizwan which
disabled my iphone. It worked for some hours then suddenly showed enter
passcode.
I tried different combinations but it disabled my iphone. Now when i slide to
open
it comes on emergency call mode only. Does not go beyound that. I contacted
Big
Boss and he asked me to use iphone browser or disk aid to delete a file in my
iphone. I tried both, shows error triangle asks to unplug usb and plug again
which
is not working. Pls advise. |Thank you.

Try uninstalling all versions, then reinstalling latest 1.93 for 'everyone'.

running Win vista sp 2, itunes 9, iphonebrowser 1.9.3, iphone 3g 3.1.2

my original issue was that my iphone got locked on the apple loading screen. i
did
not want to restore since i was unable to back up my calendar on outlook (i
also had
a recent note update that likely wasn't synced either. so i searched online for
alternative method to getting out of the that apple loading screen loop. i
found
that i may be able to delete that error string by using iphonebrowser.

however, once i was able to get iphonebrowser to load, i cannot get the
iphonebrowser to detect the iphone. i did fernii's recommendation of
reinstalling
1.93 for "everyone". i have connected the iphone to computer and itunes loads
stating this iphone is in recovery mode and must be restored before itunes can
use
it. then i load iphonebrowser. but no matter how many times i disconnect and
reconnect the iphone (itunes acknowledges the iphone being connected),
iphonebrowser
does not detect it.

my iphone is jailbroken by blackra1n and i had not installed "afc2 service"
through
cydia or done any other step noted on this homepage.

what can i do at this point? is restore the only option? (again, my main point
of
not restoring is to save my calendar which i was unable to sync to outlook.)

Steps taken were:
1. Upgrade iPhone to version 3.1.2 (not previously jailbroken)
2. Jailbroken by blackra1n
3. Installed iPhoneBrowser 1.93 on Windows XP SP3
4. afc2add installed through Cydia
5. iTunes recognizes the iPhone and syncs just fine, but iPhoneBrowser fails to
see
it with the error stated above.
6. iPhoneBrowser was installed for "Just Me". Reinstalling for "Everyone" fixed
my issue.

jacepriester:

Thanks for the steps.

I've also got the same set up as you (iphone firmware version, blackra1n,
windows OS)
except I just learned of this iPhoneBrowser after my phone froze...

So I have never installed "afc2add" through Cydia. And my iPhone is froze on the
apple screen of death.

At this point, is there anyway to get out of the frozen state without doing an
iTunes
restore?

actually... i checked outlook and my calendar IS backed up. so i will just do a
itunes restore and afterwards setup my iphone with "afc2add" through cydia

i will write back shortly after restoring and setting up the iphone and let u
know if
i'm able to work with iphonebrowser.

I'm also getting same error when starting iPhoneBrowser 1.9.3

"Please plug in your iphone via
USB. If its already plugged in, disconnect and reconnect it."

IPB used to work months ago on Windows 7. Not sure what apps on Windows I've
installed since. Today I'm using iTunes 10.0, jailbroken iPhone4, Cydia afc2add
installed.

iFunBox doesn't work either.

I have C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device
Support\iTunesMobileDevice.Dll (13-Aug-2010) installed.

Anyone been able to solve this issue?

My iPhone4 is plugged into my Windows 7 notebook via an original (white) Apple
USB cable (not via a non-Apple USB cable and not through a USB hub).
