selct list options not announced when list is visible #57

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open http://www.html5accessibility.com/tests/form-test.html
2.navigate to the select element
3. open the select element
4. navigate the options

What is the expected output? 
for each option when it receives focus the option text is announced 

What do you see instead?
option text is not announced when the select list is open.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Google Chrome 17.0.963.60
Platform 1412.205.0 (Official Build) stable-channel x86-zgb_he

Please provide any additional information below.

Since this is 3 years old, I'm wondering if anyone has considered this (or if 
there was a workaround that made it not necessary?)  We have the same problem 
with Wunderlist.  Thank you!
