Proble upgrading to firmware v.2.251 #439

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Uploading firmaware v.2.251
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
After the uploadin of code , the verify crash and give me the message  " Upload 
succeeded, but verify failed: exp 10 got C at 126976"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Ardupilot Mega with IMU , ATmega1280
OS:The try was make with windows Xp and Vista and Win7.

Please provide any additional information below.

2.251 does not support the 1280

Thank you. I want to ask you if any way to reduse the size of code , like 
describe in this post ? :

And if is it possible ,I would ask you kindly, to tell me how to " explicitly 
define the type of GPS controller you have, and it'll disable to autodetection 
code, which in turn disables all the code for all the GPS module/s that are not 
being used." as described in DIY drones post.
