Disabled state of song is saved but not applied on cold starts

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start app, go to sound options, disable music
2. exit app, make sure it gets removed from memory
3. restart app - music starts playing
4. go to sound options: music is shown disabled
5. without changing anything, exit option dialog
6. music is now indeed not playing, and stays that way until the app is cold 
started again.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Disabled music should not start playing. It does.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
V.1.15 downloaded straight from here, on Jelly Bean 4.1.2

Please provide any additional information below.
Notably, also disabled sound effects do indeed stay disabled - this only 
affects the music...
