Error when installing via Applets dialog (Linux Mint) #105

Hi. When I try to install the applet from the "add applet" dialog in mint I get the following error:

An error occurred during installation or updating.  You may wish to report this incident to the developer of IcingTaskManager@json.

If this was an update, the previous installation is unchanged

Details:  [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/tmp/tmpsJCD6W/metadata.json'

Other applets install fine

Cinnamon version: 3.2.7
Extension version: Can't check, whichever is on the spices page
Linux distribution: Linux Mint 18.1: Linux mint 4.4.0-53-generic #74-Ubuntu SMP Fri Dec 2 15:59:10 UTC 2016 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
~/.cinnamon/configs/IcingTaskManager@json/*.json: doesn't exist

Steps to reproduce:

Open "add applets" dialog on Mint, go to "Available applets" (online) tab
Search for Icing Task Manager, check it, and click "Install or update"
