I'm guessing you have three different instances of ITM running? Per-monitor window list support is relatively new. The stack trace in your log may be useful though. For now, the multi-panel support is experimental at best. It should not be used and expected to be stable.
There is just one monitor and one panel. But I admit, that cinnamon tries to start more than one, because I played around with ITM and never de-installed it.
How do I clean up everything the proper way?
In Applet Settings, click remove while ITM is selected, it should prompt you to remove all instances.
After ITM failed to start, the Remove from panel
button in Applets
was greyed out, so I de-installed ITM from the context menu Uninstall
. I checked, if all remains were deleted from my home directory.
Then I installed ITM again with the help of Applets
and added it to the panel. I changed to the panel edit mode and moved the ITM applet to the left part of the panel just right of the Menu
applet.
I logged out and in: ITM worked.
I changed the configuration to display the Title
, started the gnome-terminal
and pinned it.
I logged out and in: ITM worked.
I changed the configuration to not group windows. I started Thunderbird with the Lightning add-on, which opens two windows (Thunderbird's main window and Lightning's Reminder
window). I pinned Thunderbird's main window.
I logged out and in: ITM failed to start.
I attach again the config- and log-files. itm.zip
Oh yeah, if you need non-grouped windows, you're better off with the default Cinnamon window list applet. The implementation in ITM is still a work-in-progress.
These two features caught my eyes: Windows/Application pinning and non-grouped windows! It would be really great to have both working together...
Yes, I want to improve this feature for ITM. The problem is I don't use it daily, so it won't get as much testing without other people testing and looking at the code.
Thank you so much. It seems to work now!!!!

I added ITM to the panel, moved it to the left side and configured it a bit. After logging out and in again, ITM fails to start.
