Distorted icons after screen orientation has changed

• Describe the steps needed to be taken in order to reproduce this bug.

I use Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon on my Surface Laptop/Tablet. I have automatic screen rotation enabled (unticked System Settings > General > Disable automatic screen-rotation). When I rotate the tablet to portrait and back to landscape the icons in ITM get distorted. The following sequence shows the problem:

1. Cinnamon freshly started:
2. Rotate the laptop to portrait orientation:
3. Rotate back to landscape (the icons are distorted):
4. After cinnamon restarted everything is back to normal:

The terminal, thunderbird and firefox are pinned apps, I started firefox and System Settings.

Not sure I will be able to reproduce this since I have no hardware that supports this. Please include the entire contents of ~/.xsession-errors.
