Smaller base image? #5

Given this is designed for CI, it would be good if it could be based on a smaller image (e.g. alpine) rather than full Ubuntu. Reduced image size should result in faster CI runs.

Having compared to some other images, this one manages to be smaller than anything based on "trimmed" Ubuntu images, openjdk:8-alpine, etc.

So, I guess you're doing fine without alpine! 😄

Maybe worth thinking about still, but I'm happy for the issue to be closed if you want.
