Hello,

Just a couple of suggestions for you to consider:

1. Ukrainian language should be UA, not UK (UK = United Kingdom = England)
This is the abbreviation accepted worldwide.
2. Would it be possible to add simple qos script. I've implemented this in my
clone tree and feedback has been pretty good from users with slower internet
connections (i.e. tested with connections up to 50Mb/s down, 5Mb/s up)

Main files modified:

trunk/user/scripts/qos.sh:
https://github.com/moonman/rt-n56u/blob/master/trunk/user/scripts/qos.sh

trunk/user/scripts/mtd_storage.sh:
https://github.com/moonman/rt-n56u/blob/master/trunk/user/scripts/mtd_storage.sh
#L127

trunk/user/scripts/mtd_storage.sh:
https://github.com/moonman/rt-n56u/blob/master/trunk/user/scripts/mtd_storage.sh
#L443

trunk/user/rc/firewall_ex.c:
https://github.com/moonman/rt-n56u/blob/master/trunk/user/rc/firewall_ex.c#L1990

trunk/user/rc/firewall_ex.c:
https://github.com/moonman/rt-n56u/blob/master/trunk/user/rc/firewall_ex.c#L2073

3. This is less importand but would still be nice to have it available:
BFQ I/O scheduler for better HDD/Flash storage performance. Users reported 1-4
MB/s increase in speed. It can be disabled by default in favour of noop.:

http://algo.ing.unimo.it/people/paolo/disk_sched/sources.php

I want to thank you for your consideration.
Oleg

Forgot to mention, bfq can be disabled from config:
https://github.com/moonman/rt-n56u/blob/master/trunk/configs/n56u_qos.config#L43

I jad also created separate configs for qos builds.

I can make patches if required and do speak Russian if that's easier (but most
people here don't so i used english :)

1. Ukrainian language must be UK. RTFM:
http://www.localeplanet.com/icu/uk-UA/index.html
2. You can add QOS to your build. It will not be add to the official releases
of this firmware.

For russians, welcome to our forum: http://forum.ixbt.com/topic.cgi?id=14:61181

I suppose I thought you had country code, not to language code there. Sorry
about the confusion. Are there any plans to have won in the future or is it a
definite no-no?

No, we will not include the QOS to firmware. You can do it yourself.

As I couldn't find the answer in the English forum, any particular reason for
keeping QoS out of official builds?

Personally I do build my own image with the required modules for QoS and the
only reason (as of now) that keeps me away from using the official builds is
the lack of it. Thanks!
