HDD Connection fails after a couple of min #1283

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start on the Router RT N65U
2.Start Download a Torrent using transmission or SSH connection (HDD Activity)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I hope that the HDD Disk don't unmount in the router - HDD Connection Fail

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
RTN65U Firmware 3.0.3.8-081 - OS Mac OS

When I try to use any app in the router I saw that the Router Unmount the HDD, 
I'm using an External enclosure with a 3.5' HDD Disk with USB 3.0 connected 
directly to the router.

I have the same router, there is a bug in the motherboard that brings similar 
errors if you connect something at the USB port that is more near to the front 
panel of the router.
Try using only the USB port far from the front panel. For me it worked :)

Hi thank you for your comment, I tried your recommendation without any succeed, 
when I connect the Disk in the second USB (far from the front) I had the same 
error, the only solution that I found to resolve this issue is using the 
original Asus Firmware (I don't like to used it, but work for me).

Please any help with this issue, I love to use the custom firmware.

The problem exists on RT-N56U, RT-N65U has another problems in hardware. It is 
not recommended to use USB3.0 mode due to problems with WiFi.
BTW, what filesystem is on HDD?

The File System that I'm using on it is NTFS, do you have any suggestion?...
