What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Bridging a Belkin 750 to another Belkin 750 using Padavan firmware

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
To able to connect to the internet through router #2.

I cannot connect to the internet - the icon in the system tray says that I have 
internet access but I do not.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
BN750DB_3.0.3.8-084_base.trx & Windows 7

Please describe the problem as detailed as it's possible.
I am trying to set up a second Belkin 750 (Router #2) as a repeater to extend 
the area of the original network also using a 750 (Router #1) which is 
connected directly to the modem. Both routers are using the latest version of 
Padavan's firmware. 

Router #1 is set up in "Wireless router mode" in "Operation Mode", set up as 
"AP only" channel 6 in "Bridge Mode", DHCP is turned on. 

Router #2 is set up in "Access Point mode" in "operation mode", set up as "AP & 
AP client" channel 6, WPA2-Personal AES (same as original network) in "Bridge 
Mode", IP sharing off by default. 

Each router has a different "Device Name" 

The only other thing that I can't do, on the the secondary network through 
Router #2, is access the internet even though when I am connected it says that 
I have "internet access". That is the problem I am trying to solve.Router #1 = 
192.168.1.1, router #2 fixed at 192.168.1.2 with gateway of 192.168.1.1. 

While hooked up in router #1 I can ping all peripherals & router #2 with no 
loss. Ipconfig comes back IPv4 address 192.168.1.207, Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 
& default gateway 192.168.1.1 

While hooked up in router #2, I can ping it with no loss but when I ping router 
#1 it times out = 100% loss. Ipconfig comes back IPv4 address 192.168.1.207, 
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0 & default gateway 192.168.1.1 which is the same as 
router #1 

As I mentioned before I have followed the instructions to a "T" so I think that 
I am just missing something simple but can't see the tree for the forest lol. 

If you have connection problem, then syslog file is required. (please do
attach it as a file)

Not sure if this is needed or not? I have no problem connecting  to the 
internet through router #1 but not through the "Repeater router" (#2)

Note that if there will be a poor problem description the issue status will
be changed to 'Invalid'!

There is no first or secondary network in this mode. It is one network. Check 
domain names could be resolved. Is it possible to ping some ext ip (f.e. 
8.8.8.8) from PC being connected to router 2?
Roots on PC and tracepath to some host (tracert on Win) should be viewed 
first...

Okay, I am a bit confused. Router #1 (192.168.1.1) which is hooked directly to 
the modem has a different SSID/Wireless name (The Princess Network) than the 
router #2 (192.168.1.2) SSID/Wireless name (The Jordan Network). I am trying to 
wirelessly extend the network with router #2. That is what I mean by first and 
secondary network.
Are you saying the SSID/Wireless name should be the same for both routers?

I mean the network is the same 192.168.1.0/24.
Is router #1 configured correctly? Can you access the internet from device 
connected to it? I hope you can.
Now, router #2: its SSID/Wireless name shouldn't be set. When it is being 
connected to main AP (router #1) it takes wireless settings from it (SSID, 
etc). End user should not feel any difference to what device he is connected in 
the repeater mode (except signal strength of course).

Yes, router is configured correctly and can access internet from device(s)  
connected to router #1.
Just took SSID/Wireless name out of router #2 (Should I "hide SSID"?).
I will test signal strength in a bit and post back.

Sorry, it is AP & AP client - so, different SSID/Wireless name can be used. But 
I think it is more comfortable to use the same SSID on main AP and repeaters. 
You can move from one point to another and network card will switch between AP 
automatically.
Anyway, it seems there is routing problem in your case. I've just tried it 
myself (RT-N16U as main AP and RT-N65U as the repeater). Works without any 
problems. Maybe check DHCP routes are turned on 
http://192.168.1.1/Advanced_GWStaticRoute_Content.asp
Also check that AP clients are not isolated - 
http://192.168.1.1/Advanced_WAdvanced2g_Content.asp (on both devices)

I have been using different SSID names for the 2 routers just so that I know 
which one I am hooked up to. So, currently I have router #2 SSID as "The Jordan 
Network". 
It is listed in the "available networks" and I can connect no problem. The icon 
in the system tray says that I have "internet access" but I don't - web sites 
come up "unable to load" & the message at the left bottom of my browser says 
"resolving host"

In the config pages of Router #2 under "Network Map", "BN750DB" should I be 
filling in "Authentication Method:", "WPA Encryption:", "WPA-PSK Key:" etc and 
if so should it be the same as router #1? Right now I do have it filled in and 
using exactly the same info as router #1.

Also, DHCP routes in #1 are turned on & AP clients are not isolated in either 
router.

Not completely sure I've understood your question, but the answer is - it can 
be the same or different. It should be the same in 
http://192.168.1.2/Advanced_WMode2g_Content.asp. On webpage where you config 
bridge with the first router.

Try to set DNS server on the PC (8.8.8.8). Try to open any webpage. (change DNS 
settings back). Please let me know if an address can be resolved.

Can you please show some output:
1) Go to http://192.168.1.2/Advanced_Console_Content.asp
hostname -f
ping -c 1 192.168.1.1
netstat -rn
2) The same for the main AP, go to 
http://192.168.1.1/Advanced_Console_Content.asp
hostname -f
ping -c 1 192.168.1.2
netstat -rn

Yes, it is the same on the bridge page.

For: http://192.168.1.2/Advanced_Console_Content.asp hostname -f I get BL-N750DB

For: http://192.168.1.1/Advanced_Console_Content.asp hostname -f I get - Belky1 
(what I named it)

ping -c 1 192.168.1.2 I get: 1 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 
1000x6400a0acket loss

netstat -rn I get: 
Kernel IP routing table

If you can't ping 192.168.1.2 from 192.168.1.1 tells that most probably there 
is no connection between devices. (router#1 and router#2)

Go to http://192.168.1.2/Main_WStatus2g_Content.asp (if you're trying to bridge 
via 2G interface). Find "MAC (STA)" - the mac address of interface which 
connects to router#1 main AP. Let it be "MAC_2"
Then open http://192.168.1.1/Main_WStatus2g_Content.asp. MAC_2 should be in "AP 
Main Stations List".
Check it is.

Good morning,

From a C prompt I can ping successfully 192.168.1.2 when connected through 
router #1. From a C prompt I cannot ping 192.168.1.1 when connected through 
router #2.

I used a "C prompt" because on the console is this message: "Warning! Console 
emulator may be used only for commands which return result immediately. 
Commands such as 'top', 'ping', 'traceroute', etc. will block the WebUI."

Next comes:

MAC (STA) @ http://192.168.1.2/Main_WStatus2g_Content.asp is "00:0C:43:30:92:F2"

Opening http://192.168.1.1/Main_WStatus2g_Content.asp this is under "AP Main 
Station List": 00:0C:43:30:92:F2  OFDM    20M 7   NO  NO   54 M  -43 NO  
00:48:36
So, it is there.

I wasn't sure what you meant by "Let it be MAC_2"

So they're connected. o_O Let me think a little
I know about that warning, that's why I wrote the command with flag '-c 1'. It 
sends only one ping and exits. By default ping output is a continuos loop, 
which will block WebUI.
Can you please post the output of commands from post #7 from device consoles. 
Previously you posted that 192.168.1.2 can't be reached from 192.168.1.1 (ping 
fails). Maybe you already have some other device in the network with 
192.168.1.2?

Also check please the following: connect via router #2. Check that PC got IP 
address via DHCP. Connect to 192.168.1.1 from other device (maybe mobile 
phone...). Open http://192.168.1.1/Main_DHCPStatus_Content.asp  press refresh 
and check that IP address of PC (connected via router #2) is in DHCP leases. In 
other words you need to check that you get IP from DHCP on router #1.

Is that weird?

Ping statistics for 192.168.1.2:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 1ms, Maximum = 54ms, Average = 20ms

Yes, it is. Very weird!!.. That's why I asked:

Can be checked by viewing connections on 192.168.1.1:
# ip neigh show

The last idea for now, check that netmask of 192.168.1.2 is 24 (255.255.255.0)

Definitely router #2 is the only device in network with ip 192.168.1.2!!

http://192.168.1.2/Advanced_LAN_Content.asp -> netmask is 255.255.255.0

Sigh

Not sure if I mentioned it before but when I am connected to router #2 
(192.168.1.2) I can connect to/configure the peripherals that run through 
router #1 i.e. My Brother wireless printer, my Obihai ATA (direct connection to 
router #1) and my D-Link NAS (direct connection to router #1} - I assume that, 
that means router #2 sees router #1 and everything attached to it. ut for 
whatever reason router #1 is not letting router #2 access the internet.

Also, the "network map" (http://192.168.1.2/index.asp) of router #2 (when 
connected to router #2) shows router #1 as a "client. 

But,the "client status" (http://192.168.1.1/index.asp) of router #1 (when 
connected to router #1) does not show router #2 on the "client list"

Double sigh!

I can see you have decided to bridge them not yesterday... =) Maybe it's easier 
to get another device which operates like it should do?..
Sorry, I can't say anything else not having the device.
Try to do it on stock firmware. Their wiki says it can be used as repeater. 
Write to the support .

Lol - yes you are correct! 
It certainly would be nice to have someone here in person to help me figure it 
out! Either I am missing something really simple or the Belkin 750's with 
Padavan firmware are not capable of bridging between 2 routers!! I may 
investigate trying to do it with stock firmware.

Just as a last note - is it possible that the Belkin BN750DB is not physically 
capable of being a repeater regardless of the firmware?

I have had similar problems in my own setup.
Switch back both routers to "Wireless router mode" in operations and then setup 
all the other options manually. I think AP mode disables some routing that is 
needed in a bridge case.

Hi! I've got the same issue.. what encryption are you using on the main router? 
have you tried changing it? (tested both WPA/WAP2 AES/TKIP?) tried an open 
network?

For me, at least, I've found that using the 5GHz radio as a bridge instead of 
the 2.4GHz radio.. works (: which radio did you use?

I have both radios set up as bridges and cannot access the internet on either 
one. I can access all my peripherals - printer, NAS etc. but no internet 
through the bridges :o(
